It's time to look ahead. Gregg Rosenthal breaks down who to keep and who to ditch in Part I of his Top-50 Keeper rankings.

 Jets Offense-TM-JetsJan. 6 - 12:57 pm et
Newsday doesn't believe that Jeff Jagodzinski is a serious contender to be the Jets' next head coach.
Jags lost his job at Boston College to interview with the Jets, but he may have simply wanted out of BC in the first place. Jagodzinski seems likely to get consideration for NFL offensive coordinator jobs. There are plenty of openings, most notably in San Francisco, Cleveland, St. Louis, and Detroit.

 Rams Defense-TM-RamsJan. 6 - 12:45 pm et
The Rams have received permission to interview Bucs defensive coordinator Raheem Morris for their head-coaching vacancy.
Morris, who interviewed with the Broncos Monday, runs a Tampa 2 scheme that St. Louis had success with in the early 2000s when Lovie Smith was coordinator. Josh McDaniels and Steve Spagnuolo are thought to be ahead of Morris in the race for Denver's job. Morris was the Bucs' DBs coach in 2008.

 Seneca Wallace-QB-SeahawksJan. 6 - 12:31 pm et
Seneca Wallace's 2008 performance allowed him to hit an escalator in his contract that will increase his 2009 salary.
Originally slated to make $1.5 million in 2009, Wallace's raise may impact the Seahawks' decision making at QB. There is already some thought that they will release Matt Hasselbeck in the offseason. Wallace played well enough this past season to at least get a chance to compete to start somewhere.

 Drew Brees-QB-SaintsJan. 6 - 12:14 pm et
The Associated Press named Drew Brees 2008 Offensive Player of the Year. He received 22 votes, while Peyton Manning and Adrian Peterson tied for second with nine.
The Saints' defense prevented Brees from making the playoffs (and winning league MVP), but he was undoubtedly due high recognition. He was first in the NFL in passing yards (5,069), tied for first in TD passes (34), tied for second in YPA (8.0) behind only Philip Rivers (8.4), and fourth in QB rating (96.2). Brees' quick release and ability to throw on the move make the offensive line and skill players around him considerably better. His numbers are unlikely fall off much in 2009.
 Kevin Vickerson-DL-TitansJan. 6 - 12:09 pm et
Titans officially restored DT Kevin Vickerson to the 53-man roster after a four-game suspension for violating the NFL's banned substance policy.
Vickerson will add insurance in case Albert Haynesworth suffers a setback in his return from a knee injury.

 Amon Gordon-DL-TitansJan. 6 - 12:05 pm et
Titans released DT Amon Gordon.
Gordon was promoted from the practice squad in mid-December, but he loses his roster spot with Kevin Vickerson returning from suspension.

 Marvin Harrison-WR-ColtsJan. 6 - 12:02 pm et
Phildelphia DA Lynne Abraham is unable to proceed with charges in the incident involving Marvin Harrison last May.
ESPN's Sal Paolantonio says that Harrison isn't out of the woods, as it has been determined Harrison's gun was fired and he could face gun charges in the future. The DA said Harrison would not be charged "right now." Sal Pal also says evidence that may come up in a civil case could wind up being used against Harrison in the future.
